New Delhi (Reporter): REX KARMAVEER GLOBAL EDUCATION CHANGE CHAMPIONS Fellowship Award -2019 distribution ceremonywas organized on 15th April 2019 at the Delhi Public School, Gurgaon auditorium.
The prestigious REX KARMAVEER GLOBAL EDUCATION CHANGE CHAMPIONS TORCHBEARER SCHOOL AWARD 2019 was received at the august function by Dr Ashok Kumar Thakur, founder of Muni International School. This is yet another feather in the cap of the highly acclaimed MIS.
Genesis: The Karmaveer Chakra awards is the flagship initiative for theUN in the International Year of Volunteering and the REX Karmaveermission. At the behest of the UN, iCONGO (International Confederation of NGO’s) instituted the KarmaveerChakra awards in partnership with the UN, to recognise people fromaround the world, who are CHAMPIONS OF CHANGE and REAL HEROES,leading and inspiring transformation by changing mind-sets for making adifference towards achieving the Millennium Development and SustainableGoals for the cause of humanity and the greater good in our world.
In the past 15 years, REX Karmaveer Global Fellowship has been presented to everyone from Princes, Princesses, Authors, Actors, Captains of Industry, Business Executives, Media Professionals, Bureaucrats, Diplomats, NGO/UN Leaders, Educators, Teachers, Leadership Experts, Lawyers, Professionals, Global Crusaders, Innovators, Entrepreneurs, Volunteers, Soldiers, Slum Dwellers and others. And like all these people from all walks of life, who have been recognised, the REX Karmaveer awards has ALSO recognised and awarded educators from around the world for their path-breaking work in the holistic development of children in the past.
After receiving the award, Dr Ashok Kumar Thakur said that the organization (iCONGO) saw the work of our school and selected us for the award, for which we express our gratitude to them(iCONGO). He also said that our aim is not to restrict students to mere bookish knowledge, but we look at various facets of society and always try to make them the best citizens of the country by providing them learning opportunities in employment education, social participation, social responsibility and moral responsibility.
Before the award ceremony, eminent scholars engaged in educational and social service activities of the country exchanged their views. On this occasion several operators, managers, principals and representatives of some of the best schools selected from different states in the country attended.
