A Japanese music competition was organized by Muni International School
New Delhi – A Japanese music competition was organized for the students of Muni International School. On this occasion, Ms.Hayakawa from the Japanese embassy in Delhi, Mr. Katsuo Matsumoto, the JICA head (Japan International Cooperation Agency ),Mr. Uemachi , Mrs. Koseki, Mr. Noguchi and Mrs.Wakana from the Japan Foundation along with Dr Ashok Kumar Thakur, founder of Muni International school with other dignitaries were present.
On arrival all guests were enrobed in turbans and given a traditional welcome by the school founder Dr Ashok Kumar Thakur
The students received a big round of applause for their fantastic presentation of Japanese songs and music from the esteemed Japanese guests
Students of A Group - first class Student got first prize and 2ed Group standard secured the first position in the competition 9th standard students secured the second position and 10th standard students secured the third place by 7th class. Winners of the competition were awarded trophies and commendation certificates by the guests.
Addressing the students, The JICA chief Matsumoto said that students of the school sang Japanese songs really well, which is commendable. Looking at this program, it seems that the students have achieved a strong grip on the Japanese language and deserve to be appreciated. Such events in the school are very beneficial to the students.
It is important to note that students at Muni International School are taught Japanese language. Keeping this in mind, the school organizes various Japanese language activities for the students from time to time.
